They take longer, create more mess, and aren't competed in a controlled environment, so you will often have bits of dust and airborne particles embedded in your new finish - not to mention the overspray on your walls, and all the sanding dust floating in the air.

Our shop based prefinishing service also saves you money, because all woodwork is finished before the install. Meticulous, labor-wasting activities like masking are eliminated. This results in you recieving a superior finish at a lower cost than the alternative.

We don't limit you on colours either. You can choose any stain colour you like and we can have it matched for you. Even if you're using many different species of wood, we can ensure colour consistency throughout your project.

In addition to staining, we can also provide solid colour finishes, glazing, chalking and antiquing

As for what kinds of wood products we can pre-finsh - well, just about anything! Exterior doors, interior railings, cabinets, crown moldings - even entire exterior trim packages. You name it, we can prefinish it.

How our service works:

• You supply drawings or specifications to us, along with finish specs, and we provide you with a quote
• You provide us with a colour sample to match
• You have your finish ready woodwork delivered to our shop, where we will do all finishing work
• We prepare a sample piece for you to inspect and approve
• Once approved, we finish the project in our shop
• On completion, you can either pick up the finished pieces or we can have them delivered to your jobsite for final installation
